Whereas http://batch88.stanmed.net and hereinafter reffered to as the 'site' is a non-profit Alumini web site of the class of 1988, Stanley Medical College, Madras, India
Now therefore this article of association
Article 1. Ownership:
The site is wholly owned by the general body of the class of 1988, Stanley Medical College, Madras, India,
hereinafter referred to as the batch unless repulsively pungent.
The general body is the supreme discretionary power and supreme decisions will be made and only made by the general body.
Article 2. The general body:
The general body constitutes all students joining Stanley Medical College on year 1988 AND all students graduating on the year 1994.
The batch includes but not limited to the members listed in http://batch88.stanmed.net/profileHome.php
The general body enjoys free life long ownership rights to the site and is not bound by any duties.
However it is advised that each member of the general body at least update their e-mail or mail address in the profile pages
http://batch88.stanmed.net/profile.php. The general body takes decisions using an electronic voting system described below.
Article 3. The electronic voting system:
All decisions by the general body will be made by the electronic voting system, which is a transparent (not secret) fair
and a independently approved and a independently hosted software application on the world wide web.
Article 4. Executive Powers:
All executive powers will lie with the General Secretary, hereinafter referred as the secretary. The secretary will
be elected by the general body and holds office for a period of one year or until dismissed by the general body
by a simple majority through a no confidence motion.
Article 5. Duties and powers of the secretary:
The secretary will hold the administrative password to the site. He is solely responsible for maintenance,
content and growth of the site. He shall appoint an executive council and/or paid professionals as deemed for the
general benefit of the site. He shall decide the policies, and will maintain the financial balance sheet of the site.
He shall update account details to the general body on the first week of every quarter of the year.
Article 6. Finance:
The secretary shall maintain an online balance sheet transparent to the general body and update it as mentined
in article 5 above. All revenues will be through voluntary donation and/or sponsorship and the secretary shall decide the
revenue polices, bearing the welfare of site in mind.
Article 7. The Incubator:
The incubator takes care of the early growth phase of the site and his role ends once the secretary takes office.
His paramount duty is to enlighten the general body, register the members of the body, and pave way to the secretary’s election
not later that six months form incorporation of the site as indicated in the date below.

On the 8th day of the 8th month of the year 2002.
